Hiking Girl

Wonderland Trail at Mount Rainier, this was a family reunion that we took advantage of the beautiful area to take us a hike, after we got up at the crack of dawn (joking) and got to where we were headed, we started up the Wonderland trail, and I personally hoped to see more views of the mountain but we had not really picked the right trail for it, so after my initial disappointment I set out to enjoy it anyways, we did get one view of the mountain, after that one view we were in the trees the rest of the time, I cant remember exactly where we split off from the wonderland trail but we did eventually split off, hiked straight uphill for like what felt like 3 miles still no views, turned around and headed back to the truck. So after figuring out that I pretty much am used to hiking in what I call the most beautiful mountains on earth, the North Cascades I couldn’t take to the trees very well. When I go back, and I will go back, my plan is to hike more in the Paradise area, where I believe its more exposed. Lesson learned.
